> makes sense So if it didn’t (have this restriction), you’d be confused as to why? Or are you just praising a high-status decision for being high-status?

How is this your problem? The streamer is taking on all the risks. And we were talking about children .

Of course it's not arbitrary ; It is a direct enforcer of their gatekeeping. Instead of bullshitting, they can just sell two kinds of devices, one with this restriction and one without. The market will show you how many people really

Paying doesn’t magically make them not want to extract all of your value. Apple could sell iPhones at a loss just because of the AppStore theft, and still survive.

Has there been any good meta analyses on the effects of suggestive content on children? My prior is that seeing sex was common enough in the ancestral environment, both human and animal sex, and children won’t be much effected from this con

As a slim person with small hands, I can tell you that it’s the weight, the texture, the width, and the ability to add straps etc that makes a difference, not so much the thickness.

`emacsclient` gives you the best of both worlds. Instant startup, with as much added sugar as you can stomach.

I haven't had a good GPU myself once in my life. I still could play plenty of older games. You're just selfish and entitled.

Who knows about 10 years in the future; Perhaps crypto '10x's, and gamers move to cloud platforms. If the prices should be raised, after some years, the added margin will add competitors and increase the efficiency, thus making ch

People hate competition. It’s not like the big tech is made out of bricks. The small timer says competing users of GPUs are evil, the Apple lawyer bullshits on how they can’t even allow mentions of alternative payment gateways less the secu

Price discrimination is evil. Perfect discrimination leads to products having zero economic worth to the consumer.

Writing a language from scratch is not that different from writing a DSL using powerful macro systems. Does such a DSL already exist?

It’s not that Go is not a great language; The problem is that it’s a very conservative language that is not picking up low-hanging fruit. Their maintainers also have a nasty habit of being condescending to other people’s use cases; E.g., f-

Isn’t the bottleneck there the core software being proprietary? I think even verilog (which is quite old) doesn’t have a mature FOSS compiler+IDE. There are also probably not that many hardware designers in the world?
