I agree, it is not silly at all. It is worse, it is pandering. It is selling an agenda. Conflicts are part of social interactions. The fact we use war metaphors doesn't mean we use violence, it is the opposite, we are replacing old-fas

I use grep and git grep all the time. This post is very welcome, it sums up my own ideas about grep in a better way.

Sorry, I forgot to add it was the mobile version of the 1080, which is indeed slower than full form factor.

You can learn Bulgarian instead. Similar script, different world-view. Айляк. A Bulgarian asks a Spaniard: – What does “mañana, mañana” mean? – It’s when your life is mainly drinking wine, relaxing, eating good food, and having loads of fun

Similar performance to Nvidia 1080 dedicated GPU. Would I get it? Absolutely yes. A full desktop small form factor is a very convenient, nice thing.

Just displaying text with syntax highlighting is a solved issue. I read such code every day in github and similar tools.

Yes, and I still believe editing text is painful on a browser and this is just putting lipstick on a pig. Keyboard shortcuts and auto-complete being important pain points.

As an experiment, it is awesome. We should strive to push the limits of technology and try new things. Kudos. I tip my hat to the creativity. As something practical, the author started with the wrong tool for the job (JavaScript), and then

That benchmark makes Go look good, and JS very good. The upper part of the table belongs to Go, and the very top is JS. The bottom of the benchmark table are all slow Python implementations xD

Python is glue, used to call and integrate other faster languages. Most of what is done with Python is calling fast C and C++ code. Back in ancient times, a software project I was working in, failed, precisely because of Python performance

Yes, in general I have more issues going from one gnome version to the next, than changing distros. The gnome extensions need to be reinstalled, then they work and their configuration is preserved. It must be because I don't use KDE no

I would prefer some tool that generates better e-books, like an improved ePub format with better equations and tables. This division between web and PDF is meaningless to me. The ePub format is a book format based on Web technologies. A bet
