So I had the exact opposite experience growing up in a very rural area and take no offense to your statement. I had access to hundreds of acres of woods/farms growing up, which for a young kid was total freedom. Around 10 or 11 I was

In the video it doesn't appear to be a stall. IMO, looks like he just needed a few more feet of elevation and was in full control until the moment he hit the water. I could be wrong though.

It looked like he did a loop at less than 1000 feet to me, and there was a fireball, even in the water, which makes me feel like there was fuel on board. Seemed like he was just pushing the limits like he's probably done his whole lif

It's worth dropping the Danish film Riders of Justice in this thread for people who haven't seen it. In the film, a facial recognition algorithm is created, and after some tinkering with the accuracy they are able to find who the

FWIW, I remember the games I was really into fairly well. I'm not sure if I'll ever forget the Red Dead Redemption 2 main quest line. Games like Halo 3 are a bit harder for me though, because it's a lot of the same grinding

The first time I watched The Rise of Skywalker it was just too much being thrown at my brain. The second and third watch was much easier to process of course. I'm a big fan of older movies and have noticed the shot length difference

HN has always been notoriously negative, and wrong a lot of the time. One of my personal favorites is Brian Armstrong's post about an exciting new company he was starting around cryptocurrency and needing a co-founder... Always a good

I have algos running that trade for me in personal accounts. Of course it's not the volume that the big shops are trading, but the whole "algo traders/market makers bad" thing is always a fun one to see. Finding anomali

Low hanging fruit that seemed somewhat common back in the day was not verifying prices of items on the backend. So a somewhat technical user could edit the price in the html field of the item to be $10 instead of $100. Between this and eve

I conducted a test last year with GPT 4. The idea was simple. Feed Powell's official fed meeting speeches and give a rating between 1 and 10, 10 being more dovish and 1 being more hawkish. I fed around 7 or so Fed speeches and kept
