Metamask and WalletConnect have solved this problem. You can use a browser wallet, or a mobile wallet that connects to your browser.

I think the reason desalination doesn't make sense is because most of the water is used for agriculture as the comments above mentioned. As such the marginal cost of repurposing water from agriculture to people is probably significantl

A lot of freight is already transported by rail in the US 18-30% depending on who you ask. This seems about on par with or bigger than the fraction of fright that travels by rail in Europe. Part of the difference is that rail in the US is u

I emphasize with the arguments here but I differ in my conclusion for two reasons. 1. I don't own just Ethereum, its not a boat that I'm riding in, its one of many gambles I'm making. 2. The Ethereum network has generated a t

I'm just going to get a mini linux box and a PinePhone like device as backups. We live in a world where due to technology a panopticon is almost inevitable. Using free software is the only real way to take back control. As this technol

My initial thought on this was that the negative changes the author describes in the post were driven by continuous delivery pipelines. But agile delivery practices have a similar effect of increasing the frequency of delivering software. I

It may be a 'must' for security but from a UX perspective it is a horrible experience. Does it make sense for one team to have 10+ AWS accounts per service because 'security'? How about if each team out of 1000s in your

There is also the quality of work factor. What is easier to use a bespoke infra or kubernetes? For the same pay I'd rather work with k8s than deal with whatever gremlins are buried in 'custom' infra.

I work in an org with a similar setup where there is no name-spacing on git repositories. We end up prefixing the project name with our org name. ex repo name is: $OrgName + $ProjectName Honestly, it is not a great solution because the org

This is the reason crypto enthusiasts are enthusiastic in the first place. Crypto enthusiasts want to defect from the system of democratic law in favor of algorithmic law.

Turnover at amazon is high. In my org the rate of turnover is probably higher than 30% every 5 years. On a 10 person team losing 2 people in a year is 20% right there. My experience of the turnover is that it is much higher than 6% a year.

Twitter followers aren't traction. Just like people reading your blog posts isn't traction. Traction is people signing up for the product, people using the product and people paying you money.

1. I kind of expect a general reduction in the "living in the USA' salary premium for a lot of jobs. It sucks for the people getting paid less, but hopefully the deflationary effects on the economy make up for it a bit.
