Ohh, finally. I’ve been playing with Steam "offline" for quite some time now (only singleplayer, so it doesn’t matter) so I don’t kick my wife out of whatever she is playing from my library. This is awesome.

Very cool story for anyone into far-future, post-humanity, and trans-humanity. I also discovered this here, in a comment.

I find the composition API to be clearer and simpler in almost every way. Script setup is amazing. Also proper typescript support without annoying workarounds, that alone would make it worth it.

There have been courts that decided downloading is copying, is infringement. But even if I used incorrect wording, I specifically mentioned distribution being the issue in my original comment.

Caddy also simplifies many common Nginx configurations with a one-liner. The biggest hurdle is when you don’t have a simple configuration, as all the examples are usually only for Nginx ;)

Huh, that is super interesting, are you 100% certain it wasn’t torrents and thus including distribution? Hundreds of euros is crazy, that’s what people pay for distribution.

You have personal experience with being sued for downloading without distribution in Germany?

Just violating copyright wouldn't really matter. Damages would be tiny, and so would be what the lawyers can blackmail you for. It's being on the hook for the damages of distribution that gets the high fees.

It's not the sites, it's torrenting. Without a VPN, they get your IP, and you are on the hook for "commercial distribution" (as clients also upload) unless you pay X00 euros.

I thought you meant mobile browsers, but then you talked about desktop, and I got confused. Then I checked Chrome (which I don’t normally use), and there was no option to enter a custom SE. I would have bet money you could enter one there.

Weasyprint [0] works pretty well for us. Especially for basic things, it does everything. It’s only lacking some very advanced CSS Print features. [0]: https://doc.courtbouillon.org/weasyprint/stable/

Kinda. The normal version hasn’t seen a release in 4 years, only the experimental psi+ version is maintained, and it is unclear which features it actually supports as all (at least in the wiki in English) information is heavily outdated.

Ticket sales for bands I talked to rarely even make up the costs of the gig. Especially if they aren’t the main act with a decent fan base. Merch is what brings in some more money. But depending on the band, touring can even just be for the

7/10 is my Bandcamp threshold (NYP releases can go as low as 6/10), off-Bandcamp that rises to 8/10 (personal ratings, not some music site), both for CDs that I’ll then rip into the FLACs I’d have downloaded off Bandcamp, and
