Not quite as old, but my Roomba 620 has been going since February 2014. The battery, a wheel, and the normal replacements parts have been replaced over the years, but otherwise it still works great. It’s now going into its retirement home,

Agreed, and the humor is restrained. Often there are posts (which tend to also have an annoying amount of gifs) which just overdo it. But here it’s neatly used to lighten the writing.

Which city is that? Here in the city center of Lübeck, I see none of those. And only one new-ish traditional vending machine.

It’s rather common for mid-sized OSS projects to have a lot of gambling sponsors for the links. Cheaper than ads.

I guess that depends on the metal show, because I wholeheartedly disagree. But except kanonenfieber currently, I like little that is close to mainstream.

I'm talking banner ads. I block almost everything everywhere, except my work. My boss (who doesn't block anything and accepts all tracking everywhere) doesn't get their ads. So I think they just have a scattershot approach.

It's kinda crazy. We are in Germany, so no US ads. But even 8€ eCPM floor still makes temu show up.

Huh. Wow. I don’t normally use VSCode, and you are correct. JetBrain IDEs correctly report some nonsense like <p><div><img></ul>test</p> as an error, but VSCode does nothing. That’s really weird.

> doesn't report this sort of syntax error It’s because it’s not a syntax error, but a legal construct. SuperHTML disallows things HTML allows.

This is not HTML. This is HTML, but without allowing all kinds of shortcuts. In HTML, <li>item<li> is correct (it gets parsed as <li>item</li><li></li> I think). In SuperHTML it throws an error.

I mean, if you go to a concert and don’t really care about the music, sure. The sound will suck, far worse than just a venue’s subpar sound system.

Germany, Vodafone. They support it, so I could get v6, but chances are that that'll switch me to CGNAT for v4, so I'm not willing to risk it.

If the author is reading, there’s a bug with dark mode, the `aside` (for the TOC) gets a background color of #d3d3d3 which results in very bad contrast as the font and heading are adjusted for dark mode.

As a German, I must say this is very well done. It went from clear English, over me having to think about every word, to clear English again (though only if I read it out loud)
