Sorry, I should've used the word 'throwaway' instead of anonymity. The account was created to post this singular link, without any context to the author. That's the problematic piece, not that their identity isn't e

I don't think there's any particular reason to be charitable with someone hiding behind anonymity.

I can see why you used a throw-away, considering the comments of the video you linked and the very first other one I looked at both have people talking about eugenics in a positive fashion.

Would you say Gentoo is the most secure distribution to use when writing yours?

Absolutely nothing at all, but it is not a 'more secure choice' than an LTS distribution of a mainline distro and while this guide can't really decide if it's targeting local or server usecases, I can't imagine a wo

I'm glad that this called out systemd in the very first section, because it told me that the rest of it probably wasn't going to actually talk about anything actually meaningful for security. Edit: Oh god I hadn't even gotten

Agreed. There should absolutely be anti-fraud mechanisms, but those are not the same as what people tend to start talking about when they start talking about welfare fraud. You can protect against fraud of this scale without adding more rig

Mentioned to the below responder, but you should give this a try if you're on a family plan, I heard it helps with that problem: https://www.spotify.com/us/kids/

This is a pretty weird assertion - Voat doesn't have to worry about literally any of the scale problems Reddit does.

Agreed this metric is better, but the article also notes that these two firms own 70% of SolarWinds so any meaningful sale would be large by this measure I think?

Pfizer's CEO sold on November 9th, on a day the stock closed at $37.14. It peaked last week (the 8th) at $42.56, and closed today at $37.84, so I'm not sure what you're talking about.

Their market cap today is ~5.6B at $18 a share. Jumping back to December 7, they were worth $23, so ~7.3B market cap. So, close to 4% of outstanding shares.

Yeah, this is a particularly pernicious failure given how email works. Many mailing providers will just mark these as blacklisted, now, and lots of unsophisticated users likely won't notice.

Almost all of them list their IP ranges. I went and ran the numbers on DO's, available from: http://digitalocean.com/geo/google.csv 2,344,576 IPs, so ~47mm on the same math.

They got bought by Wave, who still seem to have pretty solid support? At least over Twitter, it felt like I was talking to someone competent. I haven't had any major issues since installation, though, so maybe I just got lucky.
