Okay. So using the J.K. Rowling example: provide a plausible way that she could make money off of her writing, and particularly her first risky book, in the absence of copyright.

Right off the bat Joel makes what appears to be a very serious mistake regarding work for hire. His opening logic is as follows: - When you hire a contract photographer to make some pictures, he owns the copyright on those pictures even th

It's worth mentioning KIPR BotBall. There are three major STEM promoters in the guise of a robotics competition: Offerings from FIRST, competitions sponsored by Vex, and KIPR BotBall. FIRST is the most well known at this point, thank

I have the opposite opinion. US funding sources for science and engineering tend to be very government-heavy rather than industry-based; but in my experience those government grants, particularly DoD, emphasize research with specific pract

No peer review. There are many bold claims on this website. But you don't screw around with RNGs: they need to be right. Until this author's claims have been verified, I would not use this algorithm.

I did a bit of development for the Newton back when: I wrote Waba for the Newton (a JVM) and Hemlock. But I never could figure out why NewtonScript had two different inheritance paths. It seemed overly and unnecessarily complex. (1) Was
