Yes it could! It is vendor agnostic, just provides a WebRTC API that can be used anywhere.

Great work! This makes WebRTC much more accessible, it not being available in ffmpeg makes people default to worse alternatives.

Android devices in some cases don’t have H264 HW. Libwebrtc also doesn’t support SW H264. That has added lots of complexity/confusion for people building stuff also. Quite a few footguns in this area :)

LiveKit is an amazing project. If you haven’t had a chance check it out. It’s the first time I have seen WebRTC approached by people who know Cloud/Scaling and it’s all a open source!

WebRTC's best days are ahead of it still IMO! I think the thing holding it back the most is the perception that it is a browser technology only. I just spent some time talking to a developer that was using it to control robots in a war

You can do lots of suprising things with ICE in the browser. I was really excited to find[0]. Go to this[1] JSFiddle and type in `$hostname.local` or a device on your network. I have a `WDMyCloud.local` for example. I think you could make s

New Go release have broken a few workflows for me recently. I am spending more time answering 'Go questions' and not Pion questions. `go get github.com/pion/webrtc` used to pull into $GOPATH/src/github.com/

I know you understand libusrsctp Florent. I created Pion, I feel prety comfortable with SCTP and WebRTC in general as well. RtcQuicTransport tried to replace SCTP and it didn't work. It would be possible to replace SCTP if something be

I think SCTP has everything we need, just more knobs need to be exposed [0] I have gotten feedback about the performance about Pion's SCTP implementation as well. It is a hard problem. The amount of people who care about SCTP performan

Instead of `getUserMedia` replace with `getDisplayMedia`. If you are looking for a native option use [0] or [1] and you can send anything from ffmpeg to webrtc. ffmpeg itself doesn't support WebRTC so need to use something for the last

The only numbers I have ever seen published are Whereby's[0] they saw 17% used TURN. There is a little more nuance then just paternalistic networks though. In same cases like NAT Mapping exhaustion you just can't give an individua

WebRTC + networking is frustrating. IMO it is a leaky abstraction. There was a hope that ICE+TURN would work everywhere and users would never need to worry. That isn't true so we need to do a better job educating developers about what&

If you have the time give WebRTC for the Curious[0] a read. I try and explain what WebRTC is and how it actually works. The big advantages that I see are. * Can do P2P (and Client/Server) * Mandatory Encryption * Handles codec/tra
