As someone who learnt to program in Scheme, this was true for me, did so much Scheme that when doing some C or JS I had to pause for moment and think harder when writing imperative loops.

Nice summary, the only pain left is that commonjs is still the module that dominates in the nodejs ecosystem.

This is more prominent in Haskell and Scala circles.

I wouldn't give much importance to his Clojure articles, they are all shallow and superficial. My only conclusion is that he writes them primarily for marketing purposes.

With what banks will you start in Colombia? How will the flow be for users that need to login with a token[0]? (6 digit code that changes every 60 secs). Others banks ask you to recognized an image you selected before. [0] https:/

Maybe this is the one. IMO, Babeljs could be leveraged to create one much faster.

Should have phrase that differently. This is a case of "worse is better". I know Clojure well and, IMO, it's the best language in the world for writing application/business logic. Many times, when programming in JS/

Yep, that's why Clojure struggling and has no future. Not strong in any domain and doesn't have any fundamental benefits over other dynamic programming languages like JS/Python/Ruby.

One headline is: Focus on your data – not on complex SQL queries Looks like just another SQL DSL trying to make you not learn SQL. TS's structural typing and plain SQL can get you far into a simpler/robust system IMO. Also, the

IME, regular JS is much faster than regular Clojure. You can make Clojure run faster than JS by writing Java with parenthesis, but then you defeat all the purpose of using Clojure in the first place.

Yeah same in Clojure, you spend most of your time messing with/writing interop and trying to get it correct.

It has less market share than perl or delphi (make your own judgement). It was really hyped(rightfully so, a practical lisp for production use? fun! sign me in) then declined fast. Like most(ly dead) languages, it still has its followers, i

I'm surprised Clojure isn't in the list either. Edit: To clarify, Clojure is mostly a dead language that didn't have any innovations by itself, but it did influenced many programmers(the creator is good at marketing). It help

Clojure doesn't have much over JS except for macros, but today you can achieve the same with Babel. If you stick to writing JS in a functional programming way like Clojure encourages to do so, you are pretty much just writing Clojure b

Practically, that means that the new Air will not be capable of running sustained workloads much above its base clock speed, which makes it unsuitable for many programming-related tasks. Does that still holds when using the power adapter?
