You don't have to throw out the baby with the bathwater. You can still use AWS firewall, RDS, S3 and ELB with a VM/EC2 instance.

Don't disagree with you but two things: 1. Clojure doesn't have as good interop as Kotlin. 2. For some heavy interop projects, it's simpler to write the thing Java.

Note that we are using Server-Side Blazor, so this approach works for us. I do not think it works with WASM (at least out of the box), but we do not care for this form of Blazor hosting right now, so its not a concern for us. Hmm interest

Clojure is nice for heavy data engineering projects that require robust/stable/mature tech like the JVM. But for a full stack language for a web app it just adds a tons of complexity over just using JS. In Clojurescript interactin

Electron is still the best cross platform toolkit when you need browser support too. Agree, just though it was too much for something simple as displaying logins/pass but looks like it has lots of features?

Yes. Not against Electron but maybe I'm underestimating the ui/ux complexity of a password manager since I have never use one.

I hit this bug: https://docs.datomic.com/on-prem/changes.html#0.9.6021 Not being able to perform writes to your database is not scary enough? it's funny how they phrased that bug. Also hit 4-5 more that are there

Idiomatic Clojure is slower than JS, but you can make Clojure somewhat close to Java by writing Java with parenthesis(lots of interop from Clojure). One of the devs of Datomic brag about how it was only 200KLOC of Clojure, but if you extrac

Yes, and that's exactly why Nubank acquired Cognitect. They are too deep into the tech to migrate to something else, cheaper to just buy the authors. So you have deep technical debt with serious scaling issues and bugs everywhere(Datom

Because it's no different than running tests in a language with a fast code/run cycle. Clojure by necessity, needs to have a REPL, without one it would be unusable. The reason: Clojure startup time is pretty bad.

I have seen this being asked many times in /r/rust and 90% of the answers disagree with you. A common theme is to explore in Python then rewrite in Rust.
