Several of these apps currently have end-to-end encryption, which means that no, they aren't scanned. Even if they were, what a state can do with them (falsely accuse me of heinous crimes) is a lot more dangerous than what a corporatio

Is that maybe including immigrants from other EU countries? If so then that's a very misleading number to compare to the US's.

At its best, Scrum can be a tool to limit manager micromanagement (only at the level of a whole sprint), while also empowering the team to work the way it considers most effective because everything Scrum suggests as defaults (like what mee

It was better than Raising Steam at least, in my opinion. Some characters in that are unrecognisable. His biography _A Life With Footnotes_ by his assistant describe how the last books were made. Pratchett would still have moments of clarit

It doesn't need to be solipsism - for instance, maybe half of us are conscious. But if we can't even know that, if we don't even have a test to see whether some human or animal is conscious or not, how can we start trying to

Text is also much more dense. What videos spend 15 minutes on can be read in a few. You can also skim text first and then switch to deeper reading where desired, et cetera.

I love the biodiversity I manage to get in my city garden, and never felt any danger whatsoever. My kids and I do a game where we get points for pointing out insects we haven't seen before. One year we had a hornet nest in a tree, but
