Some of the comments here are surreal, I tell you. Surreal. I use chrome's built-in debugger to debug compiled down typescript code. I go to the original TS files, mark a line by conditional breakpoints, it works perfectly. It stops t

Typescript brings much needed order to the complete (seemingly) typeless nature of Javascript. That is the source of enthusiasm. TS is the direct result of a development team working out the kinks of having to maintain a large JS codebase.

Weird how it has been 4-5 years since people - without proper knowledge - kept shouting about JS framework fatigue, while the three top frameworks (React, Angular and Vue) remain the same. (Same as in leading, Angular has been reworked quit

Usual suspects that many people who hate JS seem to champion are are python, lua, ruby. I love Lua personally, but it has its own traps too. Never could get into Python too much, the indentation syntax is killing me :P

Sure, right tool for the right job, etc. Animations are almost always better when they can be hinted to the GPU (will-change), can be transitioned with translate2d changes, and do not cause reflow by being used on absolute/fixed pos

You say all this as if JS's jit engines (V8, chakra, spidermokey, etc) did not destroy "better designed" languages when it comes to speed and efficiency. The only dynamic language that does not pale beyond what is achieved

Note to commenter: you can design a language to never change a function's signature, in which case that language loses the "dynamic" and "scripting" part (okay, maybe just the dynamic part). Nothing wrong with havin

I really, really do not get this obsession with Javascriptless interactivity. I mean, seriously. Its 2018. JS engines are REALLY fast. And by the way, lets not be deluded into thinking that the Chrome is a lightweight nothing without JS exe

One important caveat here to add. Just as it is not a failing black kid's problem ALONE that he does not have the opportunity to have a stable family and proper education, so is its society's burden to educate these men on etiquet

Omnivore does not mean "should eat meat along plants. It just means you are allowed to digest it (although our gut is NOT evolved to digest either herbs OR meat).

You can publish NWJS/Electron apps for steam. You can plug a Phaser game into an NWJS/Electron app. So yes.
