Don't count on it. Trump will likely put someone very right wing into the position and the attack on encryption will intensify.

This will be struck down by the courts so fast the ink won't even be dry. Your phone is the backbone of your life and contains pretty much all of your private information and allowing police to scoop all of that up without a warrant is

Did you even read the article? Many speed limits are not based on safety, which is the entire point of a speed limit. That's where "artificially low" comes from. 85% of people drive at a safe speed regardless of what the spee

Staying out of the passing lane when not passing someone is actually the law in many states. You must keep right if able.

That's solving the wrong problem. We want to keep the roads safe and fine drivers that drive at an unsafe speed. Since speed limits are not tied to the safe speed in most cases then you are just fining people in a way that does nothing

Your logic while flawed is actually sound if you increase the speed limits to realistic levels and then enforce them at that point. Enforcing the limits when they are artificially low helps no one except for the police.

Spaces was never used by any major groups. It was an experiment and it ended. Using it to fuel the "Google shuts down everything" meme is just silly and makes the memers look silly. Google has never shut down a major product. The

Uber uses Google Maps. You can 100% trust that. Even if Uber changed to their own proprietary map system you could still use your receipt and validate that the trip was the best route by using Google Maps yourself. The system is very open.

This already exists and ironically Uber is leading the charge. https://www.uber.com/ride/ubertaxi/ It's very, very hard to get taxi monopolies onboard with something like this though. That's why Lyft

This is Hacker News. I feel like you should at least know that taxi meters are not reliable and the systems that Uber etc use simply are. Using GPS and navigation to ensure fair driving fees is one of the key parts that makes Uber/Lyft

What do you mean keep? Once they release this 50mb limit it's pretty much set in stone forever as other email providers will assume gmail users can accept it. If they removed/lowered it then emails would break.

You underestimate the complexity and depth of Windows. There's a TON of forms and code out there and you literally cannot just port that 15-30 year old C code to C# without taking a step back to think about the design and functionality

Executables are just a hex editor away as well. Facebook.com's source is about as helpful as looking at Chrome.exe when learning to code or learn about them in any detailed way.

But why? Programmers right now do everything by hand. In a ML future less of those by hand things will be needed. It seems like less programmers will be needed as a result.
