Ollama is great. If you want a GUI, LMStudio and Jan are great too. I'm building a React Native app to connect mobile devices to local LLM servers run with these programs. https://github.com/sampatt/lookma

If you do your own research and determine the earth is flat, you're stupid. Don't blame doing your own research. It galls me to hear people refusing to do their own research because other people are famously bad at it.

Also bummed but also couldn't have received anything. I have a decent HF homebrew antenna setup, but nothing that would work on UHF. Very cool to see though.

True, but I suspect that's due to learning being tedious. Memorization isn't the same as learning. Using a preexisting deck is memorizing someone else's learning.

I take notes on paper while studying the subject, then when I'm done I put the essential concepts or whatever I want to memorize into cards in Anki via my computer (I usually avoid adding them on my phone, it's slower). It is a sl

One tip for working with Anki: you will likely learn better - and review cards more regularly - if you write the cards yourself instead of using a preexisting deck. Going through a course / textbook -> taking notes on paper -> ad

I'm studying data structures and algorithms, out of interest, and to pass technical interviews. I can't fire up ChatGPT during interviews. Anki has definitely helped me. It's surprising how well it works if you do it daily. I

Your analogy makes no sense. Your yard is your property. If I shit on your property then I've trespassed and damaged your property. Digital images are nonrivalrous. If you make an infinite number of photocopies and hand them out for fr

Illegality and wrongdoing are completely distinct categories. I'm not convinced that most copyright infringements are immoral regardless of their legal status. If you post your images for the world to see, and someone uses that image,

Check out LMStudio if you want to try. Open source and quite easy to use, doesn't need a beefy machine.

Oaths and old documents mean almost nothing compared against human tribal instincts. Asshole isn't some objective designation. A huge portion of military members support the current strong man vying for power. Always have, always will.

I just want it to be sufficient to drop into some ESP32 boards, to make a place-and-forget LORA meshnet. 1 watt might be enough if they can deliver on that claim.
