You know, in a lot of sci-fis its not implied that teleportation is faster-than-light. Quantum teleportation does meet what does seem to be universal about "teleportation" though, which is that the "original" is necessarily destroyed. Tha

This is really just an illustration of quantum cryptography, rather than quantum teleportation. Quantum cryptography is a method of exploiting quantum effects to create a channel that can be used to transmit classical information in a manne

Yes. It is incorrect to say that. The term "Quantum teleportation" just refers from moving quantum information from one place to another, which happens to be kind of hard. In fact, in order to do it we "piggyback" on classical information,

Reality: Inactivity is /as strongly correlated with/ being unhealthy as smoking is. Unhealthy people, naturally, don't feel happy, energetic, and in general up for going outside pretty much of the time, and as such are less active. You can

Eh, every factor involved is implementation detail. The threshold at which binaries are heap-alloc'ed, gc behavior, etc. I really fail to see how this is user error.

A restify response is a standard node ServerResponse, which means you can call .write() to write to it without closing it. Works fine with responses of indefinite length. http://nodejs.org/docs/lates/api/http.html#http.ServerRespon...

I don't understand how otherwise reasonable people have this need to incorporate some amount of woo into their lives. As far as I can tell its just because "that's what you do." If you feel your value system is lacking, perhaps look into se

If the browser can decrypt it then it is a simple matter to get at the decrypted code. If you want to make it really difficult to "steal" code just run it through a minifer. You'll never really be able to hide what a script is doing though.

Actually no. The sugar in fruit and the sugar in table sugar are both "simple sugars". They're the same chemical, one is just much more pure and absorbed much more quickly, which has a significant effect on how the body handles it. Or, eati

Noone would argue that energy in = energy out is false. The problem is it's not an explanation. All you're doing is stating a fact. What's important to here is that the composition of diet is going to affect those two numbers. Isocaloric di

You don't even need to look at the entire index. See the point where chicken jumps from 15, to 582? We know we can then skip to at least 582 in all the other indexes we're looking at. (Which is doable as the indexes are going to be stored a

Well, coins all live at a specific "address". We can see where these 25000 BTC have gone, but it is trivial to create new addresses and move BTC to them. This is also, of course, public. For any address we can see the chain of how the BTC i

A better word for non-quantum-physicists would be "transport" here. It's very difficult to move quantum bits from one place to another at all. The light beam is used to increase the reliability of that process. This doesn't affect how -clas
