Join a startup. You can get experience and after a couple years anyone that liked you is in another job and you can join them there. I’ve loved my time at startups and made some of the best connections and friends.

I'm in glen park neighborhood of sf, it's the suburbs basically. I see them anytime I walk outside, but I don't think I keep track of which company I see driving by. It could be waymo, cruise, etc.

I think the real lock in is with serverless deployments. Its currently pretty hard to deploy nextjs to aws lambda on your own. I thought they would announce a vercel@edge product since they made everything work with webassembly. Maybe later

I worked at walmart labs for 3 years and that is correct. We had one, on premise, service that phoned home for license information to an AWS address and our request to whitelist the ip address had to go up to the CTO.

Not that i'd put php users and vue users in the same overlapping venn diagram. Global mixins is probably the biggest anti-pattern I see in vue. Vue also allows some stuff like accessing this.$parent and v-for and v-if loops on the same
