it's been out like 3 days. I agree that it seems dumb so far but google has released tons of stuff that seemed half baked and then over time gets better. I remember everyone hating google talk when it first came out. No one liked Google new

Facebook's marketplace failed cause it wasn't a core product and they didn't want to advertise it. I'll bet most members didn't even know it was there.

Not to be harsh but I think you really need to work on that logo. your page design is pretty strong but the logo is the weakest thing on the page. It's very hard to get a logo to look both freehand/scribly as well as professional. Either yo

yeah. I would use an Image instead of HTML. If you check 37 Signals all their big text are images cause they can just be made to look better.

whatever happened to the "focus on the business" mindset? It seems building your own blog past the basics a frame work can do would eventually be more work then just using wordpress. Unless your businesses is blogging perhaps your efforts a

yes it has it's faults. But it has to be designed-by-committee no matter what. While you might only count 3 or 4 browsers as "counting" there are dozens. And if they can't agree on something we will be back to the old days of IE and Netscap

at the very least this is an old argument. Dvorak said they same thing back in 2006. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2704,1987181,00.asp A lot of the stuff you want to do is in the "standard" but you need 3 or 4 browsers to all implement

"I can't assume that designers know CSS" sad but true. I often forget that such a large % of web designer are kinda crap when it comes to the technology that they design for. It's like painting with out brushes. You need to know the medium

Articles like this are always a little shallow and not really informational. There are plenty of CSS workgroups that can explain why CSS does or doesn't do something. As frustrating as the slow pace of CSS advancement goes they do have smar

at Flugpo.com our developer brings his laptop in and plugs in a separate keyboard and a separate screen and basically ignores the laptop. Which seems to fit your criteria.

wow... lot of anger both ways. All I know is a as a designer at a startup I almost never use photoshop. I use a pen and then I do mockups in HTML, CSS, and javascript. It's definitely the fastest way for web applications.
