I just compiled it for the RPI (Model B). Make sure you download and compile the latest version of GoLang. It runs so slowly, but it's still awesome. I'm going to try it on a Pi2 later tonight.

Yes, a few. The biggest difference is that PiPlay includes a web frontend that enables drag and drop loading of game files, as well as controlling different settings. RetroPie is built off of lib-retro and RetroArch using EmulationStation

CPS1 can work depending on the game. CPS2 has not worked for me except for D&D. NeoGeo games work extremely well with GNGeo. Playstation games work great with PCSX_reARMed. SNES games work great with PiSNES. Genesis emulation is workin

Also you can use the PiMAME installer script on top of any Raspbian install, rather than using the image. Installer available on github: https://github.com/ssilverm/pimame_installer

This is really awesome. Back when I was helping work on Pingie (an rss->sms service), I put some of this functionality into it (weather reports, stock quotes, traffic reports). Good luck with this!

Would love to check it out. I'm currently using a Teensy Arduino to offload as much as I can. I have a huge space constraint, so the smaller the PCB the better :)
