May I ask what is the problem with parcel? I can't remember I have ever run into problems with parcel. Maybe it's because, unlike when using webpack, I never try to perform "dark arts" when using parcel.

I would argue TypeScript is much more expressive than C++. Also, most of this complexity is used in type definitions of complex libraries that was designed without typing in mind. Now, normal programmers can enjoy the help from IDE of those
