I'd recommend pulling the face-plate and checking the wiring. In my experience, builders use CAT5e for phone jacks (and for other low-voltage systems, like alarms.

They also block middle mouse button clicks, preventing me from smoothly panning down the page. At least with Firefox, "Reader View" appears to circumvent this restriction.

In my experience, sewage is billed based on water usage, which makes sense to me. If you use some water, presumably it has to go somewhere .

Absolutely this. I have my headphones at what I consider to be a reasonable volume level, yet this website was so loud that my ears are ringing. Is it just on my end or is there some explanation for the (perceived?) higher volume?

In the sense that your backups are a surviving copy of your data, sure. That said, an argument such as "system is down while we restore from backup; some recent data may be lost" will not go over as well as "the system remain

My understanding is that only the "active ingredient" is the same. Everything else is subject to cost-cutting, as there are many fillers and binders to choose from, and they're priced differently.
