   Sadly this is untrue. Two enterpise buyers (yep, its a profession) can buy the same number of licenses and additions ending up paying significantly different (10x) price. [And many of those won't ever even use the product]

   "Ethics if for those who can afford it" - And obviously a VC can (having someone bring good dealflow is worth more than one deal). Sounds like the poor CEO got 'guilt'ed into taking a worse deal.

   I think you are going a bit too far there with the "screwed". There are quite a few billions of people who never went or will go to the US - with little effect on their life. "Welcome to America, home of the corrupt and the beuracrats"

   I have a story too, I really wanted an apple and when I came into the super market they had this HUGE line and they only accept credit cards on purchases above 5$. I won't tell you the course of action I took, but I really wanted an apple.

    what about trying A/B testing in addition ? a 80% decrease is great but additional 1-2% can go a long way
