If you appreciate OSM, consider installing the StreetComplete mobile app[0]! It lets you contribute to OSM in a very simple manner, via simple questions like, "Is there a marked crosswalk here?" I'm not affiliated, I just thi

You are correct, and with the current metal AM techniques (DED, SLM), you can also take thermal imaging of the melt pool throughout. From this you can a pretty accurate picture of the weld quality across the whole volume. I'm not sure

I still disagree with your characterization. First, it's not that the UI is colorful, it's that many designers seem unwilling to make UIs that are monotone or subdued. That's different from disliking color for whatever reason

For what it's worth, my 'translation' would be, "The strong aversion to less colorful designs seems childish, and may go hand in hand with designs that treat the user as inept. I don't like being treated as inept or

According the the video this thread is about, the glass has a coating of plastic over it, likely to help with impact resistance. This means the outer surface can be scuffed/scratched in ways that cannot be wiped off. This scuffing is d

I haven't been able to get unifiednlp working on newer LOS builds. (It worked beautifully on an older device with an older version of LOS.) Do you have a current guide for installing it?

This sounds interesting to me, but visiting communick.com I can't figure out how much the service costs, nor see any way to find out. I see a sign up page, but it also has no pricing info. Can you direct me to that in info?

I am currently migrating to a Bookwyrm instance (a federated equivalent). It's not too bad, and can ingest your Goodreads export.

Only very recently did they start partnering with a company called Murena to sell phones in the US. Murena currently stocks the Faiphone 4. Murena does have a note on their site[0] regarding sale of the FP5. They don't have it yet, but

Though only tangentially relevant, I can recommend Valetudo as a way to take control of your vacuum's firmware.

So look into Valetudo if you want local control of your vacuums. It's a open source application that (after rooting the vacuum) replaces the cloud with a self hosted control webUI. I am a big fan.
