Not necessarily. They are just data formats that encode the different weights and layers of the neurel net. (That is an oversimplification, but enough to give you a basic grasp of what is happening under the covers.) Apple is obviously inve

This is a small nitpick but the line: "OCaml's compiler is pretty unique, it's a set of pluggable parts that can be replaced and used together." is inaccurate. Most modern compilers are broken up into backends and fronte

Apple uses a different model format[0], so tensorflow models need to be converted first before they can be used. So Apple would need to add support for this tensorflow lite/mobile model format to work in Core ML. [0] https://

It sounds like the old programming interview questions: "Why are sewer covers round?", etc. They sound like they promote critical thinking, but really they just confuse the applicants. If you want to know how someone thinks, ask t

This type of writing/speak is the equivalent of the classic interview response: "My biggest weakness is that I'm such a hard worker." It doesn't feel honest. I wonder if that is because the author is a founding memb

We wouldn't have VR/AR today unless we pushed our GPUs till they cried. We wouldn't even have deep neural networks today if we didn't push hyper-realism because most deep neural network training without today's GPUs

You bring up a good point. My counterpoints: 1. Decision fatigue - A longer resume doesn't make the choice easier, it makes it harder because now I have more to compare and contrast more. 2. Half-life of knowledge - I did computer visi

I think your giving a bad map reduce example. It is written in a very immature functional programming style. It should be written like this, IMO: var r = array .map(square) .reduce(sum, 0); Differences: 1. Sepa
