I'd add ReasonML to the Facebook list - one of the most promising general purpose languages out there, IMO.

Inline type annotations are possible in Python since 3.5, you don't have to put them into your comments any more. E.g.: def myfunc(foo: str, bar: int) -> Tuple[str]: # ...

I find it already very practical for web frontend work. Editor support is great if you use VSCode.

Not essential but keyword arguments / named parameters / default arguments . I love those in Python and OCaml/ReasonML.

This looks fantastic! I wonder, does this make use of the new type annotations that were introduced with Python 3.5? I don't know much about compilers, but I guess those could be used (heavily) for performance optimization, like in Cyt

I don't think it would be hard to add type annotations to existing projects, though. Something similar happened in the JS world with the transition of JS projects to TypeScript and it wasn't a big deal, IIRC.

I'm currently running multiple Kubernetes clusters using StackPoint in combination with DigitalOcean. This has been working very well. Could someone tell me how the new DO Kubernetes service compares to StackPoint?

I use a profile pic on WhatsApp that says "Please write me on Signal". This works very nicely in my circle, I get a lot of messages on Signal and it's getting better year after year. I think I'll add "Telegram"

It's great that we have simple/clean declarations for NamedTuples an (Data)classes now. But I wonder why they chose two different styles for creating them. This for NamedTuples: from typing import NamedTuple class Foo(

I started using Python in early 2016, since then I have looked at hundreds of packages on github and pypi and I can't remember one of them being strictly Python2. The "2 to 3 dilemma" doesn't exist in my life, even thoug

Isn't this what the `with` keyword was made for: with ThreadPool() as pool: fut = pool.submit(foo) print(fut.result()) My idea is that ctrl+c would now cancel child operations cleanly?
