I don't really get this argument. Putting aside that if someone wants to follow you and take pictures they can do that already, and that glass itself doesn't cause you to become that person, the worst you can experience will be in the backg

It's been a while since I worked on some Java but I believe it has something to do with one being a type (like int) and the other being an instance of the class String. I was always taught "just use String" but I'd love to know the real dif

Given that one of the unicorns is a web server I thought it was a spin off from that - good call to change it.

Guessed 34 while I am 21. Will be interesting to see how they're guessing - I'm guessing it's not as straightforward as a lower age = faster speed.

To be fair, the slow growth might partly be explained by their restricting it to a few devices in the US only.

This would be rather annoying for me as I cannot wink with my right eye (only my left, apparently not uncommon[0]). I suppose blinking would do the trick though. [0]: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wink#Physiological_ability

Androids can be potentially bricked by a system-signed app [0], I wouldn't be surprised if it has a similar counterpart in Glass. [0]: http://developer.android.com/reference/android/Manifest.perm...

It doesn't actually show up as a service yet - follow the instructions on this page [0], see "Getting started". Basically, create a project in API console, create an OAuth 2.0 client id, add [1] to the valid JavaScript origins and then past

I appreciate that scaling at Facebook must be another world to most developers but do they really have to start with such a small userbase each time? I knew the app was restricted to a few devices, but didn't realise it was US-only as well.

Love it :) One minor nitpick is that the upvote arrows aren't in the same place when the post number is a bit bigger (i.e. hover over the arrow for post 9 then 10).

It's getting to the stage now where I think domains should be sold with an SSL certificate as standard (minimal vetting, no warranty) - just enough to provide encryption, rather than treating it as an optional extra.

I'm not sure why but this version is considerably more resource intensive (i.e. laggier) on my modest work PC than this version I saw on Twitter today: http://codepen.io/stuffit/pen/KrAwx

django-admin.py/manage.py[0] can enforce a typical structure using startproject/startapp. It's actually very similar to the OP's, except the project has an app of the same name that contains settings.py, wsgi, etc. It looks like the OP puts

I've always thought it would be interesting to see how long it takes tickets to sell out if you had to write a bit of code first. Something simple like fizzbuzz perhaps. The architecture from code jam is there.

It should be noted that the release of 5.5.0 could be delayed a bit, due to the late addition of Zend Optimizer+ [0] (an opcode cache) being included into the core release like APC. However there's a lot of arguing on php.internals about wh

It looks like nginx will soon have SPDY v2/v3 support built-in[0] (rather than having to recompile) which should definitely help to boost support as well. [0]: http://trac.nginx.org/nginx/roadmap

What stings a little more is that the webserver at python.co.uk is running Debian[1], which contains some version of Python by default (even in the minimal install). I hope our trademark office has the sense to reject this. [1]: http://bui
