In context, he never says it's fanless. He mentions the properties that fanless designs bring - thin, don't hear a fan, don't see a fan, cool to the touch - and then explains how the Surface Pro 3 incorporates those propertie

I believe there's a bunch of unreleased code to do with voting rings and other abuse protection.

I've just been watching this IO talk on WebRTC, so it's certainly possible in Chrome and Firefox. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMH1vM-dSc0

Sorry, I meant that that the rules should be updated to apply. Of course, while they remain out of date, Uber should be allowed to operate as they do.

Which in fairness, it should. It calculates a fare depending on time and distance travelled. At the moment you could get around the rules by having the driver count out loud.

Not quite, I have >500 karma but only see downvote links for comments. I've never come across a post with a negative score.

From the FAQ: How is a user's karma calculated? Roughly, the number of upvotes on their submissions and comments, minus the number of downvotes. (The numbers won't exactly match up, because some votes aren't counted to preven

Forgive my ignorance, but doesn't there need to be a minimum-value coin in circulation to facilitate transactions? For example, I go to a shop and buy something for £4.99 and pay with a £5.00 note - do I get any change in return?

Yeah I think that happened around the time they started sharing data between products. It's hella useful when it comes down to it (and you can be quite restrictive with your location in G+).

Amazon have done something similar with their packages - the vulnerable version 1.01e, package version 37.64 has been upgraded to 1.01e 37.66. I guess it's a version they've patched themselves. http://aws.amazon.com

I've wondered before - what's the difference between WTFPL and just releasing something into the public domain? The name-change bit seems to relate to the license itself, rather than the licensed work.

Zend the organisation, is probably what Marco meant when referring to poor stewardship, instead of the OS project Zend Framework. I like Hack because it explicitly doesn't support[0] a bunch of cruft from PHP. It feels a lot to me like

The BBC reported on this last night - saying something along the lines of there being a 72 hour recovery window (not sure if that means from being thrown into the lake or from being surfaced). Quite a good report actually, they showed the d

How are you getting on with that? I do similar stuff, and love the idea of just docking in a tablet rather than a full laptop. I assume battery drops pretty quickly while running VMs?
