Wow. I looked it up, those look very much like the edible m.procera commonly eaten and fried in Europe. I gather mushrooms have a much harder time colonizing new areas than say, insects. Hopefully.

Offal not only was, but is cheaper than skeletal meat. Hearts, for example, are good meat. You can get them for 1$ per pound. Tastes very similar to normal muscle, but it's darker. Which is why they're always sold out after 11 am
