Seth Godin is a 2nd class thinker. His shallowness and vagueness impress only the gullible. When will people stop listening to him as if he were a god??

It is doubtlessly an unfortunate tragedy :-( Nonetheless, everyday over 3000 people die in car accidents all over the world. Over 5000 people die everyday due to preventable water diseases. Over 3000 people commit suicide every day. One can

Last month I visited Rhode Island for the 1st time. I went to the posh coastal town of Newport and I saw llamas clearing some properties' lawns! One of the weirdest things ever!

I knew Hooft's page already. Thanks for the other URL. I did some work on Experimental Physics years ago, then discovered that I was more into Applied Math. No plans to become a theoretical physicist, but I still read some stuff on it once

I wholeheartedly agree. Intelligence can only be rapidly converted into superficial knowledge. I've never heard of anyone who became an expert in Quantum Field Theory in a couple of years without having a background in Physics, that is fo

Thanks for the info. My fields are Signal Processing and Control Theory, and I am years away from being able to contribute anything remotely interesting to this nascent field of Computational Topology. Maybe after my PhD. And, indeed, I ten

I read the first few paragraphs, and I thought the exact same!! It reminded me of Liar's Poker right away. "the derivatives traders were viewed as the elite - the baddest of the bad-asses." Sounds like a bunch of baloney to me. I never
