I like Real Genius . It's not exactly a good movie, and yet, it has attained a certain cult status. The movie is based on Caltech and some of the pranks featured in the movie actually happened in the 1960s and 1970s. That character who liv

I also tend to dislike people who describe themselves as artists . True artists create art, they don't brag. Many are enchanted by the power of labels and mistake their identity with the labels they use to describe themselves. Reminds of t

I certainly do agree that for most entrepreneurs machine learning is much more useful than computational complexity theory. However, I figured there might be some people on HN who would like to learn a bit more about complexity, and hence I

Anyone who has the technical know-how to build a remote-triggered bomb has the technical know-how to build a jam-resistant system. RF jammers can't possibly jam all the EM spectrum, and any evil-doer would easily be able to break this "sec

I believe the discussion should not be whether the Police should have the right to jam wireless signals or not, BUT under what conditions and what kind of jammers should the Police have the right to operate. Boundaries must be clearly defin

Any academic (professor, post-doc, grad student) has a CV or resumé in PDF or PS format in his / her webpage. Sources of inspiration galore. Googling for LaTeX source code would work too. I use TeXnicCenter to write LaTeX files, and it
