My statement refers to this claim: " I'm 99% sure this is written by an LLM. " The hypocrisy and entitlement mentality that prevails in this discussion is disgusting. My recommendation to the fellow below that he should write

Well, there must have been a good reason why you don't like the book. I didn't see good reasons in this whole discussion so far, just a lot of pedantry. No commenter points to technical errors, inaccuracies, poor code examples, or

I would rather care whether there is a book at all and whether it is useful. > I write a book about a subject I just told you I'm clueless about Use AI. Even if you use AI, it's still a lot of work. Or write a book about why pe

Thanks for sharing the video. "Solving the wrong problem" is indeed a persistent challenge and a well-recognized pitfall in engineering. Ada/SPARK offered capabilities before Rust that remain unmatched today. SPARK provides m

The irony is that people call Musk a capitalist, but at the same time turn up their noses when he expresses anti-capitalist ideas. IP law has indeed become a tool for "intellectual monopoly capitalism" that concentrates knowledge

And was it worth it? What were you able to achieve with the LLM-support you payed for? How much time did you save? I did experiments with Claude Sonnet and Opus and also with Gpt-5, the latter via my Perplexity subscription. My experience w

Interesting article. If we don't restrict to Unix-compatible userlands, there are many more impressive operating system kernels written in Pascal or its descendants, e.g. the UCSD p-System, Lisa OS and the Classic Macintosh OS. Windows

Ironclad has a POSIX API, so yes, in principle it should be possible. There is an OS on top of Ironclad ( https://github.com/Ironclad-Project/Gloire ) which uses GNU tools.

Ironclad isn't a microkernel, is it? At least the device drivers, file system and network stack seem to run in kernel space. I didn't find any strong architectural hints pointing to microkernel design in the implementation so far.

Cool idea. So you essentially only use the Typst parser (i.e. the generated AST, I assume the text format of it)? With askama templates you essentially implement your own Typst renderer, which sounds like quite an achievement. May I assume
