Thanks for the link to the webkit status. When do you suppose this will end up in the Safari in iOS 10? I suspect never. Since my clients literally have thousands (maybe 10s of thousands) invested in devices that will never get any updates

I keep a lotion bottle next to my toilet. Not only is lotion cheap, it's lubricating as it cleans, so it helps make the next wipe cleaner than just using a wet wipe! Lotion ftw. I visited Japan, they had so many awesome toilets, I had

I agree that Google's Chrome tactics can be perceived as evil, I won't discount that, because it causes issues when you are forced to use a particular browser. But if your client only runs iOS for their entire business, you can&#x

I have a 3rd gen iPad right here, I can't upgrade to iOS 11. So, it's a forced _hardware_ upgrade to get a browser update. That's just insane.

Yah, I keep tabs on that stuff. But most of my clients actually use Apple hardware for a few years now, and even if this update goes out tomorrow, and all iOS 11 users get it. iOS 10 users and below are out in the cold, and that accounts fo

Maybe we can split the difference. Chrome == IE because of breaking standards, and Safari == IE because it is so far behind on supporting standards. Also, both Chrome OS and iOS, both have integrated their browser into their OS and don'

Sorry, the op is right. Safari IS the new IE. Service workers is one of the most egregious failures on their part. And I believe it's been done on purpose. With service workers you get full control over building your JS based app, some

IIRC, this has been up for a very long time, and was one of the first real Flexbox demos online. So, its likely been abandoned by the dev (for updating/improvement purposes), and left as-is for posterity. The first time I played with f

Medium has the worst comment system I have ever used. Click a comment and go back? You lose your place. Try to navigate even a little bit and you get lost and have a hard time even finding the original article. Just completely and utterly u

Well I applaud your efforts, starting a business is hard. But I see some personal politics/preferences in your prompts, this may turn some people off. I'd recommend going neutral with your questions and ideas. And if I am off base

I want to second this comment. I have run a business for about 18 years and still growing. I hired a business management mentor to help me, and he made me read e-myth revisited. Which was also part of his business class at the local college

I really don't have the time to provide links. But you are not correct. Fonts were copied all the time by American printers in the earlier years. (from European sources) And there's court cases where Adobe tried to sue font artist

No way in hell would I show my code if that was my gold. But if you don't get the business otherwise, you have a choice to make. In my experience, people and corps are bastards and will say anything to get what they want. Don't be

You are partly correct. You can't copy verbatim, but you can create a derivative design. Also, fonts are not copyrighted! Only the data used to create the font, but not the font itself. Thanks to some very old laws (partly to do with n

I use their app, and it's pretty good. It has a few very, very weird quirks in very few places (some radio/menu option interface things are just bizarre and non-standard) but 97% of it is just fine. Even superb design wise. Useabi

I think this kind of information is funded by the caffeine industry. This is pure insanity. It took me a month to quick coffee (IT professional here) and to stop hating my life. Another 5 months to finally get completely over it where I did
