The fact that I've been going back to nature every weekend for the last 4 decades should kind of speak for itself. Math is one of the foundations of all engineering disciplines and some of the great mathematical minds like Newton and fouri

I spend pretty much every weekend hiking, snowshoeing, and/or cross country skiing in the Cascade Mountains of the Pacific Northwest. I'm also an engineer. So I've been dealing with this conundrum for pretty much my entire adult life.

This reminds me of an old routine about cat hide production. You probably all remember the "the cats will eat the rats and the rats will eat the cats" thing. Total B.S. but kind of entertaining.

OK. OK. I got a little carried away with my cost estimates. But, you have to understand some of the developers I've worked with over the years. No question they would have that much into before the darn thing worked right.

I agree. I should have added the caveat that "if an investor or if a customer knew how you were handling this aspect of your business". Fact of the matter is that customers and investors only see these kinds of expenses in very summary for

If it cost $1,000 to do it in-house and $5 to outsource it then that would definitely increase my trust and comfort level regardless of whether I was a customer or an investor.

The most illuminating phrase in the entire article follows: "he has not found an investor yet". Stupid is as stupid does.

In many cases AJAX can be used to simplify web form design. Good example would be at www.launchsplash.com. Landing page is a simple form and the first form field implores you to enter a domain name. As you start typing you see the final re

When all else fails you have to go look for a job. I never really got emotional about failed startups. I just took the code and the experience and used it as much as possible when I went on to the next project. This is one of the neat thing
