You should take a look at Rex Kruger on youtube. He likes to focus on making his own tools, working with older unpowered tools, and looking at historical building techniques. He also is great if you are not looking to do a huge investment i

Banning plastic straws is dumb, but I kinda like the sippy cup. You can taste the drink more since it brings it more to your nose.

I run a wiki hosting service at https://editthis.info and each wiki that is hosted uses SQLite. This is nice because it is easy to backup the dbs, everyone has there own separate db, and with over 250k wikis, most of them defunc

I've been doing sleep from 12:30AM-4:30AM and then a second sleep from 7am-10:30am. I work with a team that works in Poland and I am in PST time zone, so I mostly do meetings in that time, and then just do coding after I wake at 10:30.

Cool, I made one called https://mixmatchdomains.com but it never really got much traffic (single digits per day). Maybe the AI thing makes it more marketable, or just being able to type in an open textbox for pure simplicity.

I take the alternate view. Tangible stuff is great and I like having something to toss on the kitchen table for the family to work through. And a little rubbish is not a problem. Paper does sequester CO2 afterall.

Nah, keep reinventing the wheel for your own particular tastes and perspective. This is how open source evolves. Lots of little experiments that eventually get rolled together.

I used a TI for my physics classes, and wrote code to solve pretty much every problem type. Really, if it weren't for writing the code, I wouldn't have known the subject matter all that well, and would have likely done poorly. By
