On one hand I respect the right to free speech and people doing whatever they want... but man, this is awful. They’re doing more harm to their brand by publishing this.

Maybe millennials are just more efficient at spending the little money they have and don't want to spend more than they need to, which coupled with the new business models the Internet & recent technologies allow makes some legacy

In this day and age I would've expected any non-secured printer to be flooded by spam on a continuous basis, to the point where they have to be secured if you don't want them to run out of paper printing spam every single day. I

I am really surprised these kinds of printer "hacks" are still possible in 2018 .

First of all I would consider it very unethical to steal your client's idea/project or try to extort money from them just because you believe their idea has potential. You are hired to write code. Bill them for the time & effo

From my experience people who lack basic computer skills don't have them because they don't want them and trying to teach them would be a waste of time. I've noticed this with my own parents and even some friends (who use a

No enterprise would use the factory image, but a lot of small businesses would and they were put at risk as a result. We can of course say they shouldn't have trusted it, but honestly, should it be normal to expect the manufacturer

I think it’s still a worthwhile trade off. The percentage of people using network inspection for “good” like malware/phishing filtering is much lower than the percentage using it for bad stuff like ad/cancer tracking.

Technologically this was possible a decade ago or more. This was an issue with mindset (the old banks don’t want to invest in user experience) and the huge barrier to enter the banking market.

I find it ironic that these employees complain about an unethical search-engine project but have no issues stalking & violating the privacy of billions of people across the world.

Provider switching can be done directly at the SIM level; the phone just sees it as if you’ve swapped your SIM. I’ve used such a SIM for ages on an iPhone and no issues what so ever so I expect them to use the same method.

It’s strange because I’ve used my primary address on LinkedIn for a year; it’s displayed publicly on my profile and I have yet to receive spam. I only get a handful of legitimate recruiter messages a month but nothing else.

Despite all of this bullshit, LinkedIn can be a good tool for finding opportunities if used correctly. You just need to make sure your privacy settings are bulletproof and don’t give out more information than they need to.
