Which I really doubt. This guy’s involvement in cryptocurrencies is just about shilling them in exchange of real cash. I’d be surprised if he held any cryptocoins at all.

Maybe this was true back in 2008. Nowadays brands are the cesspool itself.

Honestly, blocking memes would be the only good result of this law. I can’t wait to see social networks cleaned of that crap.

Just wondering how they’re going to keep people on the platform with these annoyances. People can tolerate ads on FB itself because it provides an unique experience that’s hard to replicate elsewhere (due to the network effects), but I don’

Haven’t really used them directly, but pipenv has a check command that tests your dependencies against the free version of pyup.io. It’s nice, and while I’m not sure how better it could be but it’s still better than nothing and pointed

Correct, although I’m happy to be proven wrong. I don’t see any way this could be possible - in order to create a malicious pickle object you’d have to have your untrusted input somehow “break outside” of its string container before it even

Which is really unfortunate because the P2P system was reliable provided your network was reliable. The “new and improved” system just randomly fails for me and I’ve stopped using Skype as a result. The shit clients they started releasing (

How is a Facebook or LinkedIn account considered “verification” when spammers routinely use thousands of fake accounts to astroturf fraudulent pages & ads? Surely this means any malicious actor targeting your platform can do the same.

MMS is useless anyway so I see that as a non-issue, if anything it removes useless complexity. Social networks, email and WhatsApp/Telegram replaced MMS long ago, and as a bonus they don’t re-compress your images to make them look even

Do you actually need to bark at passers-by, or do you think you need just because every other dog is doing it? Replacing Twitter is simple. Have a proper support channel (Intercom, etc) so your customers don’t need Twitter to get support

Goodwill works for good companies proud of what they do. Companies like Twitter whose core business is to shit on their users and customers don’t care about goodwill.

SIP (session initiation protocol). It’s superior to the PSTN in every way, and problems like spam can be solved just like we did with emails (not to mention, there’s plenty of spam on the PSTN too).

Depends what those "influencers" are about. A lot of successful Youtube influencers actually show off something else besides their face and for those the mandatory vertical video wouldn't cut it.

Vertical video is awful because it doesn't capture any of the surroundings of the subject, and instead wastes those pixels it on filming what's above & below the subject (which 99% of the time is irrelevant).

Just wondering, if you've got 2,55 billion laying around, would you use it to solve a real-world problem or invest it, or will you burn it in some sketchy, potentially-illegal cryptocurrency bullshit with no real-world purpose?
