EME can be cracked if it isn’t already. Anything can be cracked. The only way to not get your content copied is to not give it to the user in the first place. If the user can see/hear the content then he can also copy it.

Why would someone use this instead of just linking to their website’s about page which can then contain all the social media links they want?

Honestly, your job is to run your business, not learn a new stack. It might take you months to learn a web framework to be able to build this yourself, and this time could’ve been put to better use starting your business. The task itself so

Honestly, looks like you're looking for something impossible. On one hand, you're looking to disconnect. On the other, you want to be available if something explodes. Which one is it then? I'd recommend just grabbing a laptop

Not really. It’s definitely not how the theatre intended it to work, but this isn’t really stealing - the theatre is willfully giving you more popcorn on the basis that you have an existing popcorn box. They are free to not do so and enforc

The “victim” was clearly asking for it; not only is shouting “I got a gun” in a state where gun ownership is legal a bit stupid, but involving an innocent third-party (aka the Uber driver) into your stalking games also not a smart move. Not

Just wondering, if those guys can get away with this, what’s stopping us from doing the same in support of net neutrality?

Not that I know of, and I don't see a major business-case for it. The UK ISP market is much better than its US counterpart (we have no Comcast, for starters) so I'm not sure there would be enough demand for a wireless ISP. But if

They say they're supposed to do this, but the feature was never actually tested and even the manufacturer themselves aren't sure it's gonna work.

I had a pigeon problem at one of my previous gigs. The fire escape (where we’d frequently go out to smoke/vape, or try to) was a biohazard area. There was an inches-thick layer of fecal matter coating the ground, it was crackling if yo

Has anyone considered hosts like OVH/SoYouStart? They have unmetered bandwidth and are quite affordable, and can be even cheaper on Kimsufi if you're willing to compromise on the SLA. Here are servers for around 40$/month wit

They do internally, but as far as I know there's no way to send them from outside - you have to be root, and if you're root you don't really need AT commands to exfiltrate data.

My point wasn’t to turn Snapchat into an adult entertainment site. It was simply to accept and embrace its fate as a sexting tool. Dating apps are also used for this purpose (frankly their whole purpose is to find people you’d eventually fu

I'm not really old enough to have experienced Centrex, but for small businesses its promises makes sense from a business point of view. Less maintenance/support overhead is a huge plus.

Seems like a huge hack. What we really need is some kind of etcd for telecoms, where you just configure it and they replicate and share state automatically.

Does everything need to be a family platform? A bit of an extreme example, but the adult entertainment industry seems to do fine without catering to families - I don't see why Snapchat couldn't do the same?
