Real apps has been built with lisp so therefore it's at least some what practical. On the other hand I just cannot see anything fundamental which makes lisp lot less practical from many commonly used business languages. Well ecosystem

On the other hand is this recruiting work all about being lonely wolf? I could imagine that as programmer & side gig you could work for recruiter(s). Prepare to convince why your skill is important not just their customer but themselves

How production ready this is and how could you compare this to SqlClient (addition to wider DB support)? Is there any possibilities to compose queries? I am currently with SqlProvider but raw SQL would be interesting option =)

I asked since I don't know much about datomic either or how usable is it in production. So I haven't much to share.

Not C macro-like source code manipulation as dummy string but as more smart structure like AST.

Do you mean debugging third party closed source code? If not just debug normally like we have done decades (and even in web world few years using these "source maps"). If it cannot be done today it will be then when it's main

ES6 is mostly just syntax sugar and standard library stuff compared to ES 5 just like CoffeeScript. TypeScript is about about static analysis (and required metadata called type annotations in code which allow the analysis). Big difference i

Just in case if you are not aware check RDF/RDFS/OWL. Use cases are quite different but model wise there are similarities (no immutability / hash based tough). For example case how do you manage details of relationships of ta

I think it's way too early to say is this kind of models good replacements of traditional file systems since we are so used to work with hierarchies everywhere and tooling is very young if any. I think simple operations remain still qu

So how non-turing completeness work with infinite streams? Many practical applications (like this) are working with possibly infinite stream of user inputs / requests etc. If we can guarantee that our server, browser or game applicatio

I agree that js world move fast but there is lot of reinvention of wheel and every new shiny thing have relatively small "payload". Also lot of things are just workarounds for js badparts. Currently I feel that js is out newest J

I don't know. I felt sameway that elm was easier when I was learning Vue with all modern shiny stuff. I had done mostly C#/Java and some old school JS programming but none Haskell likes. It's hard to say which ones was easier

I am not so sure do _normals_ care or dont't know. Do all alcholics think they have a problem? Can mass of people beat any single person on chess? I think that trusting for feelings of masses as facts is quite dangerous thinking.

Hopefully we skip that AST phase and go directly more meaningful and still less visual related layer. Is it called ASG or something. Edit: We probably have wars anyway but I think after that our wars are about something that really matters.

Keeping html independent from css would be nice thing for sure. But since reusable stylesheets from these libraries are used we need to have also stylesheets to be independent from html. When we have just 'two things' both of thos

Welcome to the dark side =) I am not a Java fan either but I felt dynamic languages even worst. Since then I have loved to modern static type systems like in Rust (in theory) and Elm/Haskell.

I think "proof" shouldn't be taken too literally. At the end stronger type system make easier to craft correctly working programs and less lottery machines.
