The point of using frameworks is that time IS an issue, and you'd rather not waste it by reinventing the wheel every time.

Just a heads up littlewing, your comment is marked as dead. I went through your profile and it doesn't look like any of your comments were particularly offbase enough to warrant the shadowban so I'm not sure what's going on.

I've always thought the the web UI was meant for trivial things. For everything else, there's always the Command Line Interface.

If you check the network tab when you visit twitter you'll notice that the payload for the core twitter assets aren't that big, so you can scratch that idea off.

You'll find it's because for the most part, the amount of people browsing websites with an ad blocker is still significantly lower than those who don't, so companies just let it slide. Though of course it's growing every

I'm not too familiar with it myself, but if I had to hazard a guess it's because setting an element to display:fixed breaks it out into its own root stacking context[0], and browser zoom affects every stacking context[1]. Would lo

I believe one of the reasons for preventing zoom-in is because it plays havoc with any element that is "fixed" in your browser (ie pretty much every nav bar/fixed header you'll ever encounter).
