One of the only actual levers in society is interest rates and let me tell you, the current state does not favor those who just want to have a sustainable business.

I hate grading companies, they are a part of the retro industrial complex which made old consoles (ones that were manufactured in the millions, mind you!) and games so expensive. Old stuff should be sold at old stuff prices. Look at the New

Isn't it missing the human element? Usually people who inspect you aren't the most skilled and best equipped. A decoy profile would be great to evade escalation. They see something benign and move on. This feels like an n-th time

My hypothesis is that this particular kind of AI pushback originates from people who really are terminally online and can't separate their job (programming) from free time (also programming). Programmers are unusual in that regard, com

People tend to use LVGL for this kind of projects. Seems adequate. No X server, direct framebuffer write, good tooling.

Some ingredients for a good coffee still need to be fresh, like milk - refilled daily. And the machine cleaned. Might as well employ a human at this point.

It's a distraction. Websites are relatively easy to migrate, Office and AD not so much. Isn't it really a case of measuring what you can see vs what really matters?

Filament implies it is resistively heated, per tube terminology. Nixie is essentially a neon lamp, specially shaped, whose cathode is cold.

The temperature is independent of the actual heat flux. Also - a quick search suggests that at best the data center coolers run at COP of little more than 10. The inverse of that is the amount of heat wasted just on cooling. Having a system

I wonder what's the reason. Poland used to have horrible bureaucracy. You could argue this was due to lack of funds, or communist baggage. Yet, over the last decade digital administration has become a norm, rather than exception. Germa

I felt this was possible due to slight aliasing you can see on some corrugated structures, but someone has finally done it :) The best part is there's no hallucination or guessing; some have "upscaled" Sentinel-2 data this wa

How about heat? Seems these days it's the heat above everything else that's the issue. And more density would only aggravate it.

Yeah, as I researched the topic of multiple choice exam design, seems the rule of thumb is to reject outright any distractors that are chosen by less than 5% of test takers.

The apologetism of American socioeconomic system is a thing endemic to HN. Even Reddit with its USA-skewed demographic is far less delusional, for all its other faults. Same for other social media like YT. I suppose it's a distinction

Then, the dots should be less than 100% opacity, which helps convey density wherever they overlap. It's feasible in overpass turbo with its rather simplistic MapCSS, so it should be possible in proper web mapping libraries.
