The big question is how automatic and streamlined can you make this governance, because I know for sure most devs doing open source today want nothing to do with it. However, if it meant a path to being actually paid to do open source, mayb

This was the most disappointing things about the new xcom games. They got great reviews but to me the world seemed so much like a theme park without it.

I didn't write about this because it wasn't toward my exact point about FP, but you're totally right. This will be equally as chilling for new web frameworks.

It's funny, I've never seen a dev team that really deeply internalized security without someone embedded who was an expert. It's just too hard, too easy to make a mistake. I don't think these tools are the answer though,

Hi Author here, I'm just as worried about "established FP but globally niche" tech like Haskell or F# as I am about new tech. I've surveyed options and there's nothing available.

As someone in a CTO position now but being a serious IC ~5 years ago, I'm curious. How was the transition back for you? I love my job, but I also miss it.

It depends on your market. If you're in b2b with big companies you can partner on solutions if you have some core that is special. For consumer you'll need to solve at least one problem well enough to get cashflow.

If I were them I might try to integrate with some existing open source plugin system (Atom or VSCode?) to get more supported languages for free.

We run our tests on databases and it's on the order of one minute. Maybe it's a hardware issue? We all have beefy computers with fast SSDs. Also since we strive to make our databases upgradable, it's important that the actual
