I am not happy with Microsoft's splintering of Windows into so many versions. It is a waste of time. I say just offer one client version of Windows and sell it for a flat price. I would also like to suggest giving me more options on what I

I am not a fan of the iPhone because of its dependency on iTunes. iTunes is an overweight bloated piece of junk and I won't go back to Windows just to run it. I am not a fan of Android because each individual maker gets to decide if you can

Personaly, I refuse to click on any shortened URIs, especially when using a Windows box. I just don't care for them.

Personally, I wish someone I like, like Colin Percival, would start an email service. I like the way he runs Tarsnap.

Nice link. I have to admit to being a Bash person myself, mainly because it was my initial shell experience. I even have Bash installed on my OpenBSD box, even though Ksh seems nice.

I recently started down this trail to simplify my life and draw down my personal property. I got rid of my DVDs because I simply wasn't watching them. I ripped every one of my CDs in FLAC format and then gave them away to friends. And these

If I didn't detest software patent suits so much, I would say this is karma for Google's recent actions regarding network neutrality and wireless broadband.

I only use two Google products regularly these days: search and Gmail. I would like to move from Gmail but I haven't found another provider to go to. I used to like Fastmail but, for some reason, I don't like it that they are now owned by O

I disagree, strongly, with the sentiment of Mr. Moglen. As a user of a BSD, I can see a few reasons for wanting a non-GPLed compiler. I also suspect that GNU feels threatened by an open source competitor after being the only real game in to

I really like OpenBSD, but if there is one thing I have to point to as annoying, it would be the lack of binary system patches. Call me crazy but I don't feel that I should have to have a compiler and tool chain installed to have an up to d

I have a problem with the term "Sold" when it comes to Kindle books. Nobody actually "buys" one, they license it. DRM is toxic.

I use Windows XP at work. At home, I have Windows 7 on my desktop computer (a Dell Dimension e520n) and Ubuntu 10.04 on my netbook (Lenovo IdeaPad S10). Firefox is my browser on all three.
