AppEngine is priced very high and is definitely not a constant price. I'm using it right now, and it costs me $5/day to run an Elixir/Phoenix app for ~2000 active users. I'm leaving as soon as my free credit runs out.

The new Vive is by HTC, the Index is by Valve? Different companies. You may be confused by the fact that HTC previously had a partnership with Valve. The Index is independent from HTC.

The usefulness of a general "social network" is how many people it has. If I can't find almost everyone I know on it, and they are on a different platform (Facebook) it's easier for me to just use the other platform. P

I think using pronouns reserved for humans on a ship (engineered mass of wood/metal that doesn't spy on you and you can own) is more acceptable than using it on a company (which spies on you, is not something you own, etc).

I was able to register but haven't received an email (yet). Hopefully it works on the Note 8 as well, but given that it is mentioned a grand total of 0 times on that website - I'm not holding my breath.
