As in other areas, the non-specialist bows down to the opinion of critics as to who is a good or bad artist. I have to disagree. Or, at least, why doesn't he mention the much larger group of people who haven't the humility to bow down to

I wouldn't go as far as saying that I've cracked because I explained a joke. Something I called an eccentricity since I do realize it is a little out there. Besides that, I just came up with the "totalitarian government" thing, and I though

Well, the logo alone would be a pretty stupid reason to abandon Google. But, like I said, it was just the last straw. And if I am going to have a last straw, the thing that removes that piece of straw must be eccentric. Yet, vaguely resembl

This is just plain hard for me to gauge, but thanks for your reply as well. I know what you mean by saying that attempts at humor are not welcome here. I'll see a comment that I think is pretty witty, but it has maybe 0, or less, points. I

My last straw was seeing the Chrome logo. I've always had the " they're watching you " thought running in the background of my mind. But, I have always ignored those thoughts. Then I saw the Chrome logo. To me, it very blatantly looks like

Thank you for your reply. As for my downvote. I had an idea of how my question would be received. But, it was an honest question since -- and you have to agree -- the values of humor and sarcasm here are usually left at the front door. For

What is the opinion on silly comments in submissions that will soon be killed? I've seen people get in one word comments in some of these submissions and not get downvoted. I have had some fun myself. My latest: "Opening studiobriefing.net

Off topic. I like to imagine that when we start to colonize mars, our two robots will be recovered and put on display in reverence. Someplace where everyone can see them, much like the statues of important human figures. I've been following

You know, you have a good point. In high school, I was pretty shocked when my mom sat down with me and my buddies to play Tetris. And she actually whooped on us. What was going on became very clear to me when her only complaint was that the

I'm on the edge of whether or not this sounds like a ridiculous number. It would take the equivalent of 500 human lives for 1 human life to be wasted on Facebook. For some reason I'm just not feeling a response to this; though, I'm going to

It sounds to me like it could be valuable. On the surface, we'll see how long it takes. I wouldn't be surprised if this whole thing was done in a couple of days. And it will also cause a lot of people to say: "wow, the power of the internet

The problem becomes a paradox when you consider birds. Bird bones are much smaller and less dense than ours. Then you must consider that a bird can already fly, which means that the airplane is not a necessity for them. In my humble opinion

I'm a little confused by your comment in relation to tungsten's. I think he was just saying "easy money." A way around the need to manually crank. Between your comment and tungsten's, I think I'm missing something.

>This is important. Remember, most people don't even know what a browser is. Internet Explorer is very cleverly named: people don't think they're opening a browser, they think they're opening the internet. It is funny that you say this.

Ever watch Metropolis? I was giving that movie a slight nod. Every worker in that movie is doing the most pointless work. It is amazing to watch the human workers file into the machinery, then to see them crank levers and move the hands of

It is the new minimum-wage crank-machine economy. All those things are good things. It would help the homeless to boot-strap themselves. And every human can always say, "well, at least I can work the crank machine if I have to." It'll be
