If this is a faithful reimplementation of the AlphaZero algorithm (and I haven't looked through the code to confirm whether or not it is) then you'd expect equal performance to the published results after enough iterations of trai

No, because that would be a totally different DB engine with different concurrency issues. Although that would also be super interesting to read, and my intuition is that because Aurora is a much newer DB, it probably has some subtle issues

First of all, your point about accidents per mile seems fair. But your point about fault doesn't seem fair, because I can't think of any reason why Tesla drivers would be in more accidents despite being at fault less . A positive

Great results! This is the most consistent video output I've seen so far from a single frame.

That depends on what real world use you're targeting, but unfortunately I'm not aware of anything better than that leaderboard in terms of sample size and model coverage.

It's because you can quantize to different extents, at the expense of a small amount of accuracy. The original model probably needs much more vRAM than most people will actually end up needing in prod.

Pure speculation: when combined with the LIDAR depth sensor, the two cameras probably don't need as much physical separation to accurately create a depth map. The bigger problem is the inpainting needed to generate hidden detail when t

Yeah, I think this is a great release, but I also suspect that most people won't end up using it just because of the license. It's actually a lot more restrictive than what I would personally consider "commercial" usage:

Can you share some examples of tax benefits they got? I'm imagining that the cost of keeping a office open far exceeds the tax benefits they would receive in return, and I doubt that local governments really track the frequency of how

Ah, that makes sense. Is it possible for those researchers to just rent cloud compute, or is that also prohibited? I suppose that the obvious thought in my mind would be to find some cheap cloud GPU provider and use their platform to do the

I would have appreciated a local LLM integration as a free feature of the IDE. As it stands, I'm more likely right now to just use GitHub Copilot than to use JetBrains AI if I want a subscription billed remote LLM.

I'm guessing this model was made to be small simply to keep costs low and make sure that they could feasibly train the model with the amount of time/effort they had. But to some extent I'm left wondering whether this techniqu

Wow, after trying out the demo, I'm floored by how high quality this is. The translations worked perfectly, the voice cloning was "good enough", and the emotions conveyed in my voice was retained pretty accurately. I don'

That's an awesome feature. I think one of the worst possible outcomes of machine translation is something that ends up being accidentally offensive, and this is a smart way to mitigate that.

I don't know what you can do for immediate action, but usually Google does reverse their domain safety status quickly after the offending content is removed. 72 hours might be enough for this to go away.

I believe that the results here are true, but it's also worth noting that the company which performed this analysis is a "hybrid work management startup" and they have an incentive to report that hybrid work is superior.

Nothing you've said so far sounds unhireable to me, but nothing sticks out as impressive or unique either. In a tough job market, I'd expect there to be plenty of great candidates out there, and this might not make the cut of bein

I agree. Real world job performance often rewards you for bending the rules or reframing the problems you face, whereas academia rewards you for following a path set for you.
