This looks useful for a lot of instrumentation use cases, but less so for building custom emulators, if I'm understanding it correctly.

It's a fun trick, but I really don't like that bash does this. It's such an un-clean interface, and I'm not aware of any use cases beyond trying to exfiltrate data from a badly locked-down shell.

Unicorn is more like a fork of Qemu than something that depends on it. So what they're saying here is, they reimplemented the Unicorn feature-set (which dramatically diverges from the Qemu feature-set) from scratch based on a newer Qem

Well, there's ptrace/gdb? (Since you mentioned Diablo II, you might want a windows debugger, but same idea)

For anyone who isn't familiar with Unicorn, it doesn't emulate any specific whole-system, it's a library/framework for emulation of just the CPU. You are responsible for hooking up the whole "rest of the world&quo

This is not tractable, because there is nothing stopping me from copy-pasting someone else's project into my own namespace. Under most OSS licenses I have express permission to do so. If you try to do some kind of dupe-detection, someo

Something being possible doesn't mean it's easy. Transforming a problem from a forbidden shape into an allowed shape could well be harder than just solving the original problem.

Looks like it is now, but probably took them a while to classify it, with all the upvotes people were giving it.

Hey can you tell your operator to reduce the comment rate? Three top-level comments on a single post in 3 minutes is a bit excessive, don't you think?

Maintaining the expected observable behaviours would get complicated if queries (especially other updates) against the same table are happening concurrently.
