That's my big issue with PostgreSQL. I don't care about DDL with logical replication as I can build an replica for the switch, but no LOBs?

by RegnisGnaw 2y ago
I don't care much about schema changes as I can setup logical replication just for the major version upgrade. The main issue is the lack of support for large objects, which the code bases I'm dealing with uses heavily.

All lens alter the light :) hence my question of the definition..

by RegnisGnaw 2y ago
Why is the sensor the limit? Why not apply the definition to the lens?
98.
by RegnisGnaw 2y ago
Lets expand that definition a bit then. Lets say that I use a flash in a photo, does the result become a "photo" or "artwork based on photo" in your definition? I'm altering the light received by the camera. What ab

This has not been solved by logical replication. There are features in PostgreSQL not supported by logical replication. One of the issues I'm dealing with is our product switched from Oracle to PostgreSQL and the ORM stuff love LOBs, a

Except in the analog world its not so clear, you can't just say +3V=1. What if its 3.7V? or 4.5V? Early tools weren't that accurate either so you needed more range to deal with it.

My understanding was that it was designed so that traffic could route around the destroyed segments. So if 9 out of the 10 routes between Lawrence Livermore and say MIT was destroyed, it would route traffic via the last route. Obviously if

There is also case where logical replication is not 100% complete. One of our application uses LOBs for some reason and can't do logical replication.

It can't be done without massively increasing government spending, the numbers doesn't even add up.

The major issue I have with all the UBI studies is that it ends. If you know that UBI ends in say 2 years or 3 years, your actions will be different if it is a true UBI. That skews any of the results of people's behavior.

I understand cigarettes in the context. They just wanted Marlboros more than other brands. Some of the others in the group has Camels and some other famous British brand, but they were not as popular as American Marlboros.

I went in 2014. I was told Marlboro cigs. For a country that hates the US officially everyone loves those Marlboros.
