The wording of the grandparent comment was sloppy. You might try DOI 10.1039/C8NR09321K ( https://pubs.rsc.org/en/content/articlelanding/2019/nr/c8nr0... ). In summary, for whatever reason it see

This could not be more false. A prime example is the history of the (still ongoing) Iraq conflict - it's nearing 16 years now. Or there's Viet Nam, Northern Ireland (aka the troubles), and you might recall the Communist Party of C

I will acknowledge that if we're forced to select only a single color space to work with, scRGB is an elegant drop in solution due to the value overlap. However as a developer, I really don't want to be forced to work with 16-bit

I suppose I'm fine with flawed or untestable models as teaching or reasoning tools as long as they are clearly labeled as such. It was more that your original post seemed to be saying "this is the way the universe really works&q

Apologies, what I wrote wasn't very clear. I didn't mean to imply that an API should only be able to handle such values, just that a linear color space is the only sane default in my opinion. And I most certainly didn't mea

You seem to be saying that the uncertainty principle is hiding the underlying reality from us, and that objects are simultaneously wave like and particle like and we just can't see it because we're "stuck in the system"

I agree with you and would like to add that this sort of thinking is typical elitism. Such simplified models utterly fail to account for all the inconvenient complications of real life and thus do far more harm than good when acted upon. Co

I do agree that this sort of thing doesn't belong in a language standard. I haven't looked at the proposal myself, but regarding your complaint about rgba_color float values being on [0.0, 1.0] this is super standard in my experie

I'm not a fan of the current state of affairs, but the cost of clinical trials is very real and absolutely enormous. Any workable solution will have to fully account for that.

You are the one claiming that some particular Linux DE freezes more than Windows. If we're comparing Ubuntu 16.04 LTS running Unity under Xorg to Windows 7 then I don't agree at all; in my experience they're both rock solid.

Not domes so much as greenhouses. The climate change doesn't kill you , it kills the crops you depend on to live and then you starve.
