It is a power supply that if intelligent negotiations fail, falls back to providing 5V (at whatever current), usually (2023) USB-C.

If You have not tried what the other reply-post suggests (dumb brick), I have a 5V 4A dumb brick I can loan for a quick test. Seattle area. It has worked on quite a few boards here. Or purchase one from where-ever, they are really useful

Living in Belltown (neighborhood of Seattle), we have a TON of addicts. Mostly alcohol. Most of the residents are great at functioning. We also have the /other/ "addicts" - crackheads (et al, sic) who show up here (Bell

My own, personal, use-case is to completely nuke `bash-complet*` off my machine. To me, bash-completion is horrible. I am looking for a tarball to unwind, and I only remember that it it started with "foo-" and it sure did not end

Trivia: At the old AT&T (not at&t, the (mostly) mobile/cell company), it was standard to degausse the drive then drill through the middle of the radius and park a bolt there. Bonus points if You had a spot welder to secure a nu

I spend the majority of my time in the shell (usually bash) or emacs. Learning the key-maps, especially for zsh and bash, was one of the best things I ever did. Wow, that cut my keypresses down immensely. So did remapping lynx(1) keybind

The regulars, including Don Lancaster, were great. I would drool over so many articles that I barely understood, and one of my goals for the next month were to get caught-up on some part of this tech that had escaped me. Computer Shopper w

Also, MNT Reform. Love it, though the screen is a bit wide for me. My OLPC XO-1 is still a daily-driver (with an HHKB, yeah I know the keyboard costs more than the laptop, tough!), especially for outside use. https://mntre.com&#

Reading the comments here (and the short article) /exactly/ reminded me of usenet and bitnet[feeds]. I am glad I kicked that habit in the late '80s/early '90s, it made it simple to avoid later social media. (I stil

I loved elm(1). I stopped using elm (email) when I found mutt(1). Gads, that and procmail(1) were heaven. And when I finally intersected procmail with eliza, I was full of bliss... I was at AT&T (yes, THE AT&T) and it was hyper-sat

Agreed. I've used Linux since I was afraid to touch BSD (in early-mid 1990s, i386 and TMS). I grew up on nix and found the whole shit-can of ~1992 horrible. Then Linux appeared. Of course I switched. Now I am back to BSD and Linux (S
