The worst part is the spelling correction (or lack of a good one). However, that can be improved by installing the LanguageTool extension (Needs web access though) bringing it up to at least Word level, if not better. Other than that I neve

The RockPro64 has an x4 PCIe slot. The 2gb model is 60$ and the 4gb one is 80$. Add ~20$ for accessories and you have a nice little board that should be faster than the RPI and has more features.

I took the "free software" to mean free as in freedom and not free as in beer. I think this is what the parent meant by mentioning various FOSS projects.

Wouldn't getfedora.org be a better address than Debian as they don't include any proprietary software in their default repositories?

Do you by any chance have an Nvidia gpu? Nvidia doesn't like people passing through their consumer grade gpus to VMs and blocks those. You can however enable a "hiding" mode so it works regardless. Maybe have a look at the Ar

While we're at it, there should be an officially supported API for app stores so you don't have to root your phone and install privilege extensions just to get the same convenience with F-Droid as with the Play Store.

The fact that there are apps in both stores that turn out to be malware makes this claim demonstrably false.

Why would a VPS server be any more secure than a VPN provider? They have the same ability to view outgoing traffic and can very easily log the source ip address.

Make sure to check how well supported your wifi card is. If you try something like Ubuntu drivers generally should be less of a problem. Though you may have to upgrade to the 5.7 kernel for better support of the cpu. I rarely sleep my lapto

Do those work on every operating system though? They could probably be made to work, but I don't think it wouldn't make sense for Intel as they obviously want to focus on getting XE right.

I'd like to point out that, as far as I know nobody or very few people have problems with flatpak.

From the limited experience I had with an AppImage I found they usually create a .desktop file to make the program searchable. Though I have to agree that there is no really simple, gui way to install AppImages.

Another F-Droid based store app is G-Droid. It is possible to write comments and apps are rated with a mix of user ratings, update intervals and github ratings.
